Hockey, a hotel and a history lesson

Kadin had two hockey games in vernal, yes he is seven and they make us go to vernal to play, so we decided to make a weekend of it and book a hotel and stay the night which oddly enough was a lot harder then we expected apparently vernal is a happening place to be on a friday in February. We invited some family to keep me company while watching the games since Josh is a coach and is on the other side of the ice.

The drive was realatively fun! Nobody slept but they enjoyed watching movies

We saw some neat scenery along the way.....

Snowmobiles, a snowman and strawberry!

The kids had a blast spending the night in a hotel....

There were beds that they could jump on

1 Bathroom for all of us to share

Kadin's games were fun... they lost both games but they sure tried hard. Kadin scored to tie it up at one point in the second game

The "bleachers" were a little less then cosy. Small town, small section of bleachers I guess thats how it goes. It really made me appreciate the big, nice, new rec center.

After his games we decided we had to go to the dinosaur museum....

afterall that is what Vernal is known for and pretty much all they have going for them...

There was big things to see

rock things....

smallish things....

My mom met an old friend...

Kadin's favorite thing ....after spending the time and money walking around was the big dinosaur right outside

And Ivy's was the pink dinosaur on the corner of the street..... We just happened to drive past while looking for the actual museum. It was right on the street so we didn't stop and get out and take a picture and we didnt realize it was going to be her favorite until we were on the way home and she wouldn't stop talking about it.... so with the combination of being extremely tired, 3 years old and not getting what she wanted she was fairly upset that she didnt get to get out and take a picture with the pink dinosaur.... maybe next year

The drive home was mostly quiet with a lot more sleeping then the ride down there. We had a lot of fun and MAYBE we will go back next year when they play them again.
